A Brief Explanation of HIPs:

• As from the 14th December 2007 it is compulsory on the sale of most residential properties for sellers to provide potential buyers with a Home Information Pack (‘HIP’)!
• A property should not be marketed before a HIP has been ordered.
• The HIP will contain important information about a property and its history together with an Energy Performance Certificate. This will enable potential buyers to consider the information before they make an offer for the property.
